Carotid baroreceptor reaction after stenting in 2 locations of carotid bulb lesions of different embryologic origin.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The carotid bulb is innervated by the sinus nerve of Hering, a branch of the glossopharyngeal nerve, derived from the third pharyngeal arch. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency, predictors, and outcome of the carotid BR after carotid stent placement according to the location of the plaque lesion. MATERIALS AND METHODS Atherosclerotic carotid plaques of ...
متن کاملthe effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test
in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

A computer model simulating granuuse were simulated, resulted in states lopoiesis has been constructed on the resembling cyclical and severe nonbasis of two feedback loops, one concyclical neutropenia, respectively. متن کاملFetus in Fetu: Case Report and Brief Review of Literature on Embryologic Origin, Clinical Presentation, Imaging and Differential Diagnosis
BACKGROUND Fetus in fetu (FIF) is a rare entity in which a malformed diamniotic monochorionic parasitic fetal twin develops inside a normal co-twin's body, most commonly in the abdominal cavity. FIF is differentiated from the teratoma by the presence of vertebral column often with an appropriate arrangement of other organs or limbs around it. CASE REPORT A two-and-a-half-year-old girl present...
متن کاملA persistent pharyngohyostapedial artery: embryologic implications.
A 3-year-old child was examined because of otorrhagia. CT scans showed an unusual vessel, confirmed by angiography, related to a persistent pharyngohyostapedial artery. This embryonic persistent artery associated with the normal internal carotid artery would explain the "duplication" aspect of the internal carotid artery.
